Absolutely none of the animal products we use have been taken for this sole purpose. We are proud to claim that each lamp is crafted from naturally shed antlers. Our lamp shades are made from the by-product of animals raised for the food industry. We have merely gathered what we "carnivores" consider waste and have recycled it into art. We do not under any circumstance support the killing of animals for sport, for adornments or for art. As far as for food, it is as old as man. We cannot fight it. Unfortunately our society has made it such a convenience to consume this cuisine.
The butterflies and insects are farm raised and (having a very short life cycle) gathered dead in third world countries around the globe. Farming insects has become an alternative resource to the selling of the rainforest for timber.
